Joshua A. Greenwald, MD, FACS grew up in Florida and earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York City.  He earned his medical degree from the New York University Medical School in 1995. He remained at NYU for his general surgery training.  During this time, Dr. Greenwald completed a two-year fellowship at the NYU Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. Dr. Greenwald received numerous national awards for his research contributions (see publications)

Dr. Greenwald completed his fellowship training in plastic surgery training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. The Division of Plastic Surgery at Emory University is recognized as one of the top training programs in the country.
